In today’s blog post, we are discussing a great resource that Speed Library has to offer, our eBook collections! eBooks are downloadable onto your computer, tablet, Kindle, or other device, making them super convenient to access! Speed Library offers a tremendous variety of eBooks, including academic eBooks across virtually every discipline, as well as popular releases. So, whether you are looking for an eBook to read for class, or that new novel you have been dying to get your hands on, Speed Library’s eBook collections have something for you! The library’s eBook collections are accessible right from our website, library.mc.edu. On our homepage, all you have to do is click on the eBooks link located under the Collections & Resources tab. From this link, you will find access to Speed Library’s three different eBook collections, our: EBSCO eBook collection, Cambridge UP eBook collection, and Project Gutenberg eBook collection. EBSCO eBook Collection: Truly a multidisciplinary collection with 174,000+ titles covering a range of academic disciplines, from science, technology, literature, the humanities, as well as fiction. Cambridge UP eBook Collection: Covers a wide range of subjects, including: art, education, psychology, music, and modern language. These titles are included in the library’s online catalog, MICAL. Project Gutenberg eBook Collection: Provides access to 46,000+ titles, many are in the public domain and available as PDF or EPUB files to be read on an e-reader. Approximately 400 select titles are available directly through our online catalog, MICAL. Speed Library not only offers access to these amazing eBooks, but provides help with downloading them to your computer, tablet, or other device.
